Descripción: Doctor en Ciencias Naturales (Dr. rer. nat.) por la Universidad de Heidelberg, Alemania. Magíster en Geografía y Geomática y Geógrafo de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Sus temas de investigación son el clima y la meteorología de niebla, las interacciones niebla – ecosistemas, la niebla como recurso hídrico, percepción remota satelital, Geomática, modelamiento y análisis espacial. Es Director del Centro UC Desierto de Atacama y miembro del Centro UC Derecho y Gestión de Aguas.
