Descripción: Profesor Asociado, Geomorfólogo, Doctor en Ciencias de la Tierra por la University of Maine. El académico es director del Laboratorio de Isótopos Cosmogénicos y Paleoclima Cuaternario UC.  Además, es investigador Centro UC Desierto de Atacama.

Su interés de investigación son los cambios climáticos del Cuaternario. Su aproximación es el uso de de técnicas desde la geomorfología, sedimentología y geocronología para la reconstrucción de procesos y geoformas que derivan en el paisaje geográfico, sus cambios en el tiempo y causas. Sus proyectos de investigación se ligan con la reconstrucción paleoambiental de ambientes glaciares, periglaciares, y costeros.
