Descripción: Doctor en Geología de la Universidad de Cincinnati, Estados Unidos; Magíster en Ciencias con Mención en Ecología y Biología Evolutiva de la Universidad de Chile; y Geógrafo de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Sus intereses incluyen paleoclimatología, geomorfología glacial, geocronología cuaternaria, modelación climática/glacial.

Actualmente su trabajo se focaliza en la reconstrucción de la historia paleoclimática del sur de Sudamérica, a través del estudio de avances y retrocesos glaciales ocurridos desde el Último Máximo Glacial hasta el presente.
